For the first time a couple weeks ago, while in worship with the ESBS, the Lord started speaking to me about being a father and representing him as Father.  That I have such an opportunity to show Caleb Elsay who his true Father is in the Lord, and to give him a true understanding of the Lord.  It is such a privilege and opportunity to be a father, to love him and care for him like he deserves and like God has loved and cared for us, even when we did not know it.  He's done such a great job of fathering me, and I pray and hope I can father a fraction of the way that he has Fathered me.

Again tonight, as I was praying with Eileen and speaking words of encouragement from the Lord to her, He again spoke to me about being a father, and how much our little guy needs to have the support of his father.  There is an opportunity that I have as a father, different from but not better than Eileen as mother, to give him the confidence and courage and support that he needs.  He needs to know that I am for him, behind him, with him.  I welcome the challenge and am excited at the opportunity.

I see you given Elsay a first name.
Nice. I met a 3-year-old from Ethiopia today. Her name was Elsha (apparently originally El Shaddai. She was so adorable! I hope you get him soon.
