We’ve really been blessed this year.  Almost a year from the day we started to pursue this adoption process, we are going to get to meet our son, Elsay!  Very rarely does the process take this short of a time. So, today Jessica at Children’s House International left a message on our phones over lunch, telling us that we’d received our court date, when we’ll get to meet our little man Elsay for the first time!  June 8th!  It makes sense to go over for the court date as it will save us time and money in his citizenship process, a lot of paper work hassle and $500 on this end.

There are so many ways that God has been shown to us as our Saviour.  He saves us from ourselves time and again, he saves us from trouble all the time, and ultimately he has saved me from the deserving punishment of death because of my sin by gracing us with the work of Jesus, who meets all the requirements of God so that we don't have to.

Today we got some paper work for the adoption authenticated in Raleigh, our state capitol.  And then got our finally completed dossier in the mail.  Wow!  A ton of paper work finished!  A major bridge crossed!!!

We just received a letter from USCIS stating that we've been denied approval to adopt based on financial grounds. We've been given 30 days to submit a rebuttal, 14 of which we'll be in Canada for, thus making it that much more difficult.
